Ep 91: Should you pay to speak?
Happy new year! This is our first episode of 2020 and I could not be more excited to ring in the new year and help you get set up for success to leverage speaking to scale your business. Today I want to answer a question that I actually get quite often, which is “should I pay to speak?”. Have you ever been put in a position where you were told about an incredible speaking opportunity and then you found out that in order to speak at the event you were going to have to make an investment? It might seem a little backwards that you are going to show up and do an incredible job developing a presentation and pouring into the audience all while having to come out of pocket to do so. It sounds crazy, but there are times when it's a smart move! Tune as I walk you through when this is/isn’t a good idea.
