Why Should You Speak? | What speaking does for your business

Facebook Ads, Instagram Stories, Pinterest, oh my! There are so many ways to market your business as a small business owner. But when you look at speaking… maybe you don’t realize that it can actually work FOR your business. It’s much less about recognition and so much more about getting your message in front of the right audience. If you’re like me, public speaking was never part of the ultimate plan. It was something that I fell into when wanting to serve my audience in a bigger way. Today, we’re going to dig into WHY you should be speaking and what it can do for your business.

If you loved this episode and it motivated you to add speaking to your business, I’d love for you to leave me some positive feedback on iTunes and tell me about your biggest takeaway. Episode takeaways you don’t want to miss:

  • Public speaking is one of the fastest ways to establish yourself as a subject matter expert in your field. Especially Tier 1!

  • One reason speaking allows you to become a subject matter expert in your customer’s eyes in such a short period of time is because of the personal relationship you’re forming with them.

  • In person communication CANNOT be duplicated online (You can’t hug and high five people through the computer monitor).

  • An “In person” call to actions is much more likely to be followed through on than one that came from a computer screen.

  • Speaking allows you to serve your clients from a completely different medium that allows you to reach many at once on a personal level rather than one at a time on an informal level.
