EP 07 - How to navigate Q&A with confidence
You landed a speaking opportunity and you're super nervous. You're not scared of speaking, you already got that in the bag! You're freaking out because they told you there will be Q&A after your presentation and you’re nervous about navigating that. On today’s episode, we’re diving into my best practices for helping you rock your Q&A session!
Episode takeaways you don’t want to miss:
One of the best ways to prevent an awkward Q&A session is to craft an incredible presentation. The more time you put into this step, the less time you'll spend navigating awkward questions.
The more comfortable (and experienced) you are with your topic, the more comfortable you’ll be answering questions.
The more often you deliver your content, you’ll start to see a trend in common questions.
Get to know your audience so you know what questions they may ask.
Brainstorm possible questions that may come up during your presentation.
Don’t be afraid to ask your audience questions. Learn more about what they’re asking and why they’re asking it.
Give yourself permission to not answer a question. You don’t have to answer every question and people respect honesty.
