EP 07 - How to navigate Q&A with confidence

You landed a speaking opportunity and you're super nervous. You're not scared of speaking, you already got that in the bag! You're freaking out because they told you there will be Q&A after your presentation and you’re nervous about navigating that. On today’s episode, we’re diving into my best practices for helping you rock your Q&A session!

Episode takeaways you don’t want to miss:

  • One of the best ways to prevent an awkward Q&A session is to craft an incredible presentation. The more time you put into this step, the less time you'll spend navigating awkward questions.

  • The more comfortable (and experienced) you are with your topic, the more comfortable you’ll be answering questions.

  • The more often you deliver your content, you’ll start to see a trend in common questions.

  • Get to know your audience so you know what questions they may ask.

  • Brainstorm possible questions that may come up during your presentation.

  • Don’t be afraid to ask your audience questions. Learn more about what they’re asking and why they’re asking it.

  • Give yourself permission to not answer a question. You don’t have to answer every question and people respect honesty.
