Ep 65: How to Get Started When You Feel Inexperienced | Speaker Pep Talk
Welcome back to the Creative Speaker Podcast! Today i’m here to give my loyal listeners a little pep-talk. Especially the ones who are subject matter experts with an amazing message to share! They deliver content that provides exceptional value, but might still be stuck behind the computer screen rather than on stage where they want to be. Don’t give up! Today, I’m going to give you some reasons to stop doubting yourself and give you the actions you need to be taking in order to get where you want to be as a public speaker.

Episode takeaways you don’t want to miss:
Many times the speaker who is on stage instead of you isn’t better than you are or providing more value. They likely were willing to do the uncomfortable things you weren’t such as…
Sending the email
Ask for the opportunity
Take the action
Don’t compare yourself to others in your industry. Your audience isn’t necessarily their audience. No one can serve them better than you
Define what your audience needs from you and how you’re going to deliver it to them. If you could get in front of them right now and deliver a presentation, what would they need from you? What’s the best way to get it to them?
Define how showing up and delivering your message is going to impact your audience. Is it going to help them achieve something they never were able to do? Are you giving them time back in their life? Is it going to give you more purpose in your life?
